Description
The City of Covington is seeking a qualified contractor to restore and improve the Pace Street floodplain. The work is a one‑time, 90‑day civil construction effort that includes extensive earthwork, sediment removal, grading, erosion control, riprap placement, and vegetative stabilization. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, permits, and bonds, and must attend a mandatory pre‑bid meeting. The contract will be awarded to the most valuable proposal based on qualifications, technical approach, and price.
• Scope: excavate ~4,200 cubic yards of sediment, haul to county disposal site, grade and shape floodplain, install temporary and permanent erosion controls, place riprap, seed/mulch for vegetation, and perform mobilization/demobilization.
• Mandatory pre‑bid meeting on 9/3/2026; only attendees may submit.
• Required 5 % bid bond and 100 % performance/payment bonds.
• Submission: hard copy + electronic PDF by 10/20/2026, 10:00 AM at City Hall.
