Description
The County of Maui is seeking bids for the furnish and delivery of one (1) 4x2 utility truck for the Department of Environmental Management - Waste Water Division. The truck should meet the minimum specifications outlined in the bid document, including a V8 OHV turbocharged diesel engine, heavy-duty 10-speed automatic transmission, and a fiberglass utility service body. The successful bidder will be required to deliver the truck to the County of Maui Public Works Wailuku Baseyard.
• The truck should have a minimum GVWR of 11,000 lbs and a wheelbase of 179 inches.
• The engine should have a minimum of 330 HP and 950 ft. lbs. of torque.
• The transmission should be a heavy-duty 10-speed automatic with a power take-off provision.
• The truck should have a dual fuel tank system with a 26.5-gallon mid-ship tank and a 40-gallon aft-axle tank.
• The utility service body should be made of fiberglass and have a height of 42 inches, a compartment depth of 15 inches, and an overall length of 108 inches.
• The body should have a smooth 3/16"-thick load floor with a nonskid coating and a gelcoat exterior finish.
• The truck should have a number of additional features, including daytime running head lamps, a passive anti-theft system, and a 7-way trailer plug.
