Request for Proposal for Special Inspection, Testing & Geotechnical Engineering Services

The City of Watsonville is seeking qualified firms to provide special inspection, testing, and geotechnical engineering services on an on-call and as-needed basis. The services include special inspection, sampling, and testing of concrete and masonry structures, earthwork projects, and hot mix asphalt, as well as geotechnical engineering services such as review of design documents, field observation, and preparation of plans and specifications. The selected firm will be required to provide a statement of qualifications, experience, and references, and will be evaluated based on their approach, experience, knowledge, and references related to the specific scope of work requested. Some key services that will be required include: • Inspecting, sampling, and testing concrete and masonry structures • Providing geotechnical engineering services such as review of design documents and field observation • Preparing plans and specifications for construction projects • Providing quality control and testing laboratory services for hot mix asphalt • Furnishing all materials, apparatus, and labor for soil and rock boring and other exploration procedures • Preparing and submitting boring logs and reports • Providing engineering analysis and evaluation of field and laboratory test data
