Charles County VanGo Maintenance Facility Construction

The Board of Commissioners for Charles County is soliciting qualified contractors to design, construct, test, commission, train, and turnover a new 180,000‑square‑foot VanGo Transit Operations and Maintenance Facility in Waldorf, MD. The scope includes a 20,000‑sq‑ft administration/operations building, 82,000‑sq‑ft bus parking, access‑road improvements, bus wash stations, fueling island, trash enclosure, utilities, grading, drainage, storm‑water management, landscaping, signage, and related site work. The project is funded partially with Federal and State transit monies and must comply with County, State, MTA, and Federal Transit Administration requirements. Bids are to be submitted electronically by October 29, 2026, with a non‑mandatory pre‑bid meeting and site visit on October 1, 2026. A performance and payment bond equal to 100 % of the contract price is required.
