The City of Bryan, Texas is seeking a qualified professional engineering firm to design the rehabilitation and deepening of Water Well 10, a legacy well that is under‑performing relative to its permitted flow. The effort includes full engineering design, permitting, construction‑document preparation, cost estimating, bid‑phase support, construction‑phase inspection, and as‑built documentation, with a requirement that design fees not exceed 7.5 % of the Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Construction Cost. The selected firm will also provide a diesel‑powered backup generator for the well and must coordinate with multiple regulatory agencies.
• Design and prepare construction‑ready drawings and specifications for well rehabilitation and deepening.
• Secure all required permits (State of Texas, Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District, City of Bryan, etc.).
• Produce phased cost estimates and submit design packages at 60 %, 90 %, and 100 % milestones.
• Support the bid process (pre‑bid meeting, RFIs, addenda, bid opening).
• Provide construction‑phase services: inspections, RFI responses, change‑order review, progress meetings, final inspections, punch‑list assistance, and as‑built deliverables.
• Deliver a Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Construction Cost (EOPCC) and keep design fees ≤ 7.5 % of that cost.
