Description
The Newark Board of Education is seeking a single‑source contractor to replace the existing artificial turf at the softball field of Science Park High School and to provide a suite of ancillary upgrades. The work includes demolition, grading, drainage installation, new turf placement, new bleachers, perimeter netting, upgraded lighting, a sound system, a scoreboard, and water fountains. The contract will be awarded on a lump‑sum basis with progress payments tied to a Schedule of Values.
• Remove existing turf, grade and prepare sub‑grade, and dispose of excavated soil.
• Install drainage infrastructure, new synthetic turf, and ancillary site furnishings (bleachers, netting, lighting, sound, scoreboard, fountains).
• Coordinate extensively with the Owner’s Engineer, attend mandatory pre‑construction and site‑mobilization meetings, and submit detailed shop drawings, product data, and progress reports as stipulated.
