The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is seeking to develop an innovative and user-friendly Retransmission Device (RD) to bridge the gap between Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) standards and operational needs. The ideal solution, likely a sleeve or integrated case, will satisfy the new CSfC hardwired connection requirement internally while appearing as a normal case to the outside observer. The goal is to eliminate conspicuous external cables, remove the logistical burden of separate devices, and restore full tactical mobility for users.
Some key attributes of the desired solution include:
* Meeting or exceeding all requirements of the CSfC MACP version 2.7
* Minimizing the physical footprint to reduce its visual signature
* Being an all-in-one form factor that eliminates the need for a separate device and connecting cable
* Being modular to enable rapid, cost-effective portability of capabilities across current and future End User Device (EUD) form factors
* Supporting both current and future approved DoD mobile devices/form factors
* Adhering to Supply Chain Risk Management principles throughout its lifecycle
* Adhering to the Trade Agreements Act statutes throughout its lifecycle
* Providing unlocked, Fourth-Generation (4G)/Long-Term Evolution wireless network transport
* Providing 802.11 a/b/g/ac (Wi-Fi 6E/7) transport options
* Having the ability to utilize CONUS cellular modems for the prototype
* Having the ability to support both Wi-Fi and Cellular connectivity if a follow-on production OT or contract is awarded.
