North Main Revitalization Plan RFP

The Town of Rocky Mount, Virginia is seeking an experienced multidisciplinary Architectural/Engineering firm to deliver full‑service design, engineering, bidding assistance, and construction administration for the North Main Corridor Business District Revitalization Project. The effort is partially funded by a $801,533 Community Development Block Grant and additional non‑CDBG sources, targeting a comprehensive streetscape and façade transformation that improves pedestrian safety, wayfinding, and cultural amenities. The selected firm will coordinate closely with town officials, the West Piedmont Planning District Commission, state agencies, property owners, and other stakeholders throughout design and construction phases. • Provide architectural and engineering design for façade upgrades, streetscape, pedestrian safety, and wayfinding improvements. • Conduct engineering analysis and construction administration services, including bid preparation and oversight. • Coordinate industrial heritage mural installation and overall corridor infrastructure integration. • Manage stakeholder engagement with the Town, DHCD, VDOT, property owners, and planning commissions. • Deliver final construction documents and support throughout the implementation of the revitalization plan.
