USCG Wallops Housing Roof Replacement

The USCG is seeking a contractor to replace the roofs of three housing duplex units at the USCG Family Housing in Wallops Island, VA. The contractor will be responsible for removing existing shingles and flashing and installing new shingles and flashing. The contract will be a firm-fixed price contract, and the USCG anticipates awarding the contract to a small business. The contractor must comply with various federal regulations, including the Construction Wage Rate Requirements and the Equal Opportunity clause. • The contract requires the removal of existing shingles and flashing and the installation of new shingles and flashing. • The contractor must comply with the Construction Wage Rate Requirements and pay laborers and mechanics the prevailing wage rates. • The contractor must also comply with the Equal Opportunity clause and not discriminate against employees or applicants based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. • The contractor must provide a bid guarantee in the form of a firm commitment, such as a bid bond or an irrevocable letter of credit. • The contractor must submit invoices through the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) and receive electronic notifications when payments are made.
