Request for Qualifications - County Surveyor Services

The County of Inyo is seeking a qualified firm to provide County Surveyor services. The selected firm will be responsible for performing technical review, comment, and coordination with County staff, applicants, and applicants' surveyors for the completion, approval, and recordation of final tract maps, parcel maps, records of surveys, and other land development documents. The firm will also provide technical review and comment on maps, plats, exhibits, figures, calculations, tables, charts, reports, and other documents submitted by applicants. The County is looking for a firm with recent experience functioning as a Professional Land Surveyor in California, and key personnel with applicable qualifications and experience performing professional Land Surveying in the state of California. Some key responsibilities of the selected firm will include: • Providing signature on approval certificates of completed maps • Performing research and calculations necessary for processing and approval of projects • Providing technical review and comment on maps, plats, exhibits, figures, calculations, tables, charts, reports, and other documents submitted by applicants • Coordinating work with the Inyo County Public Works Department and other departments as necessary • Attending meetings with County staff, applicants, surveyors, and other parties as necessary • Developing map conditions for tentative maps and processing final tract and parcel maps to a near-complete level • Providing final review and approval of maps and other documents
