161 / 13.8 kV Transformer & Switchgear Relocation Services

The City of Columbia is seeking a contractor to relocate two 161/13.8 kV transformers and two switchgears from the City of Columbia Municipal Power Plant to the Bolstad Substation. The relocation services shall include pre-relocation testing, disassembly as required for transportation, rigging and lifting, heavy hauling, re-assembly, vacuum filling of the transformers (if applicable), and post-relocation testing. The contractor must provide a firm, fixed price for all line items indicated in the Pricing Page. Key points to consider: • The contractor must review and comply with Attachments 1 through 10 for scope of services, technical specifications, and manufacturer drawings. • The contractor must understand and agree that the City anticipates the transformers and switchgear to be relocated between September 1, 2026, and October 31, 2026. • The contractor must provide OSHA cards to the Purchasing Division for any and all personnel working on the project within seven calendar days from the project start date. • The contractor must comply with ADA requirements and pay prevailing wages per the Missouri Division of Labor Standards Annual Wage Order No 32. • The contractor must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract price.
