Description
The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids to load, haul, and dispose of garbage from Bear Head State Park within Saint Louis County, during May 1st, 2026, through April 30th, 2028. The work covered under this solicitation shall consist of the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to load, haul, and dispose of garbage. Key considerations include:
• Providing and emptying dumpsters on a per-collection basis as per the schedule
• Complying with all existing laws and ordinances, regulations, and future amendments thereto, of the State of Minnesota
• Using properly licensed garbage collection vehicles that are covered and leak proof
• Keeping dumpsters in good repair and clean to prevent odor problems
• Disposing of garbage in accordance with the Waste Management Act and County Master Plans
The successful bidder will be required to provide a Solid Waste Hauler License from the applicable county and comply with all state and local pollution contract and fire ordinances.
