The City of Santa Barbara is seeking a qualified contractor to upgrade three uncontrolled crosswalks near Hope Elementary and Monte Vista Elementary. The work includes curb‑extension enhancements, installation of rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs) and new lighting, demolition and recycling of existing hard‑scape, new concrete sidewalks, curbs, ADA‑compliant ramps, trenching for 3‑in. PVC conduit, installation of pull‑boxes, light‑pole and RRFB foundations, and full traffic‑control planning and implementation. The contract is limited to a 30‑day performance period and the estimated construction cost is about $300 K.
• Curb‑extension and sidewalk reconstruction with ADA‑compliant ramps and detectable‑warning domes.
• Electrical work: RRFBs, new lighting, utility conduit, pull‑boxes, and meter‑pedestal related items.
