Snow Plowing for Hartford Public Schools

The City of Hartford is seeking a contractor to provide snow plowing removal and sand & salt application services at various school locations within the city. The contract will be for a one-year term with up to three options to extend. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, supervision, salt, and sand for the Hartford schools as outlined in the bid. The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances, including the City of Hartford's Living Wage requirements. Key aspects of the job include: • Snow removal from designated areas before 7:00 a.m. on any given school day • Plowing snow away from buildings and entrances • Providing separate bids for sidewalks only • Compliance with City ordinances, including W/MBE requirements • Maintenance of fiscal control and accounting procedures • Provision of insurance, including Commercial General Liability, Workers' Compensation, and Automobile Liability • Compliance with the Williams-Steiger Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970
