The Washington State University Procurement and Contract Services is seeking a consultant to provide professional and organizational development services for the Washington State Academy of Sciences (WSAS). The consultant will support the executive director and staff in building core organizational and staff capabilities to deliver on the mission to put "service in science to Washington." The services include engaging with researchers, policy makers, and interested parties; facilitating collaborative decision-making; integrating different types of knowledge to advance shared understanding; and scoping and framing projects to inform decision makers. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a relevant field, demonstrate expertise in organizational development, mentoring, and strategic facilitation within academic or scientific institutions, and be available for regular in-person meetings in Seattle. • Advanced degree in a relevant field • Expertise in organizational development, mentoring, and strategic facilitation within academic or scientific institutions • Understanding of best practices in making science useful for policy • Proven ability to facilitate collaborative decision making • Availability for regular in-person meetings in Seattle
