RFP - Carbon Change-out Services for Bakersfield Sanitary Landfill

The City of Bakersfield is seeking a qualified contractor to provide virgin 4MM – 60 Pellet granular activated carbon, associated equipment, and change-out services for the Bakersfield Sanitary Landfill. The contract will be for a term of three years, with the option to extend for two one-year increments. The contractor will be required to provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, supplies, and transportation necessary to complete the tasks described in the scope of work. The city anticipates awarding one contract with a not-to-exceed compensation of $300,000. • The contractor must have extensive documented experience in granular activated carbon, associated equipment, and change-out services. • The contractor must provide virgin 4MM – 60 Pellet granular activated carbon and associated change-out services for the Landfill’s existing vessels. • The contractor must comply with California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations, which may necessitate more frequent service change-outs. • The contractor will be required to furnish the City with a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of twenty percent (20%) of the contract amount.
