Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking bids for the purchase of one dry van trailer. The trailer will be used by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections to transport freight throughout the state. The trailer must comply with all current DOT and Pennsylvania laws and regulations, as well as Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. The specifications outlined in the bid document are considered minimum requirements.
• The trailer must have a model year of 2027 or current model year
• The trailer must have a GVWR of 65,000
• The trailer must have specific geometric dimensions, including an overall height of 13' 6", an overall length of 53' 0", and an overall width of 102.36"
• The trailer must have a tandem axle, air slide, air-ride suspension, and 49" axle centers
• The trailer must have specific electrical and lighting requirements, including all LED lights and a standard 7-way solid pin electrical connector
• The trailer must have a specific finish and paint scheme, including a pre-painted white front and sides, and a black coating on the undercarriage
