Unidirectional Hydrant Flushing and Repair

The US Army is seeking a contractor to provide unidirectional hydrant flushing and repair services at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) in Maryland. The contractor will be responsible for performing regular and systematic maintenance and repairs of the potable and sanitary systems, including flushing of hydrants and associated equipment. The contractor will also be required to provide weekly reports and perform background checks on all personnel. The contract will have a phase-in/phase-out period of 60 days, and the contractor will be required to provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to perform the required services. Key aspects of the job include: • Unidirectional flushing of the potable system • Pipeline repair and replacement • Hydrant repair and replacement • Valve repair and replacement • Backflow preventer maintenance and repairs • Backflow preventer testing and certification • Hydrant flow testing • Surface restoration, including concrete and asphalt replacement • Surface restoration, including grass seeding and soil stabilization The contractor will be required to provide a quality control plan, accident prevention plan, and OPSEC training. The contractor will also be required to provide background checks on all personnel and ensure that all personnel have the necessary qualifications and certifications.
