Description
The California Department of Transportation is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the existing Exhaust Evacuation System (EES) at the District 32 Equipment Shop 8 “A Shop” in San Bernardino. The work includes removal and proper disposal of the old system, supply and installation of nine new hose‑reel exhaust units (including two additional reels), associated ductwork, motor, fan, controls, and all required labor, tools, and permits. The contractor must hold the required CSLB classifications (C‑20, C‑61, D‑34, C‑43) or a B‑General license with a qualified subcontractor, provide a payment bond, and comply with Cal‑OSHA and prevailing‑wage rules. Completion is expected within 90 business days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
• Remove existing EES components and dispose of them per hazardous‑waste regulations.
• Install nine motorized hose‑reel systems with 32‑ft silicone‑Nomex hoses, switches, nozzles, a 5.5 HP fan, VFD, and related ducting.
• Provide all labor, equipment, safety inspections, documentation, warranties, and required certifications.
