Description
The California Military Department is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the failed Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) system in Building 872 at Camp San Luis Obispo. The work includes complete demolition of existing units, installation of new “like‑for‑like” precision‑cooling equipment, temporary cooling during the transition, new refrigerant and electrical systems, controls integration, commissioning, and full documentation. The contractor must hold a C‑20 Warm‑Air Heating, Ventilating and Air‑Conditioning license, possess EPA Section 608 universal‑technician certification, and meet numerous state‑wide socio‑economic and environmental requirements (DVBE participation, SB preference, Buy Clean, etc.). The performance period is 180 calendar days after a job‑start meeting, with a mandatory pre‑bid job walk on 9 Nov 2026.
• Remove and properly dispose of two existing Schneider Electric InRow CRAC units and two outdoor condensers, including refrigerant recovery.
• Install new precision‑cooling units (Schneider Uniflair InRow or approved equal) with N+1 redundancy, marine‑grade corrosion protection, and BACnet/Modbus controls.
• Provide temporary cooling, complete commissioning, 4‑hour on‑site response warranty, and deliver as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranty certificates.
