Description

The Maryland Department of Health, under the Developmental Disabilities Administration, is seeking feedback from the vendor community on an established web-based advanced screening tool to identify and assess health and welfare risks, functional status, behavior, and physiological factors for participants receiving services in DDA’s waiver. The goal of the agency is to determine if there is one tool that can be used by nonclinical staff to do both. The tool will support the screening of approximately 25,000 participants and will be utilized by non-clinical staff to conduct the screening. Key features of the tool include: • Identifying risks before a crisis occurs • Being used by non-clinical staff • Primary users for screening are case managers • Results utilized by the participant’s team, DDA administrative teams, and clinical supports • Guiding appropriate service planning and resource management • Supporting current systems • Integrating with Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Maryland or other systems utilized by DDA

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The dollar amount range that our client might expect to earn if they win the bid is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide specific information on the budget or pricing. However, considering the scope of the project, which involves developing and implementing a web-based screening tool for approximately 25,000 participants, the estimated cost could be in the range of $500,000 to $2 million. This estimate is based on the assumption that the tool will require significant development, testing, and implementation efforts, as well as ongoing maintenance and support. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the tool, the level of customization required, and the agency's budget constraints.
