Radar Next Industry Day

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is hosting a Radar Next Industry Day to provide information on the Radar Next program and to learn from industry partners about current and emerging capabilities. The event will include presentations, networking opportunities, and one-on-one sessions with the Radar Next program team. The goal of the event is to promote robust competition and facilitate teaming opportunities among interested partners. Some key topics that will be discussed include the future of weather radar infrastructure, C-Band commercial radar data buys, and mobile/portable weather radar capabilities. • The event will be held on July 7, 2026, at The MITRE Corporation in McLean, VA. • Registration is mandatory and must be completed by June 15, 2026. • One-on-one sessions will be offered on July 7-8, 2026, and will provide an opportunity for industry partners to discuss specific ideas and technical considerations with the Radar Next program team. • The event is open to all interested industry partners, and participation is not limited. • The Radar Next program is focused on delivering a modern radar system that ensures data continuity, addresses existing coverage gaps, and significantly improves data quality and performance.
