Request for Information (RFI) – Commercial/Residential Elevating and Floodproofing Engineering and Design – Norfolk CSRM Nonstructural Program

The City of Norfolk is conducting market research to identify firms and teams with the capability to perform the work described in this RFI. The Nonstructural Program within the CSRM Project is a series of property-specific flood mitigation projects designed to address individual properties that are most at-risk of flooding from coastal storms. The anticipated scope of the Nonstructural Program Tier 1 includes elevation, basement fill, or basement fill and elevation of up to approximately sixty (60) residential homes. The key aspects of this opportunity include: • Performing design and construction of each individual nonstructural project • Applying for and obtaining permits necessary to construction • Coordinating and/or applying for and obtaining relevant utility disconnect permits • Applying for and obtaining all permits upon completion of post-construction documents The City of Norfolk is seeking feedback on the project scope, anticipated procurement strategy, and potential challenges for the upcoming opportunity.
