Description

The County of Morris is seeking a provider to deliver a 12-hour Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) education, screening, and monitoring program. The program aims to promote highway safety by reducing the harmful effects of driving under the influence in New Jersey. The provider will be responsible for delivering in-person services, with the option of virtual classes, and must have experience working with the New Jersey Substance Abuse Monitoring System (NJSAMS). The provider must also have a licensed clinician on staff and be able to accommodate clients with disabilities. Some key responsibilities include: providing information about NJ laws related to alcohol and other drugs, conducting screening and monitoring, and referring clients to treatment. The contract will be effective from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. • Provide information about NJ laws that relate to alcohol and other drugs. • Provide information about how alcohol and other drugs can affect the body, behavior, and driving ability. • Help to understand the progression from alcohol and other drug use to addiction and recovery. • Allow clients to evaluate their use of alcohol and other drugs. • Provide information about how alcohol and other drug use affects the family. • Help to explore healthy alternatives to high-risk behaviors and develop a personal plan to avoid future DUIs and related incidents. • Conduct screening of clients during the 12-hour IDRC program. • Monitor Morris County clients in treatment as referred by the 12-hour IDRC.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

Based on the information provided, it is difficult to estimate the exact budget for this opportunity. However, considering the scope of work and the fact that clients pay $264 to attend the program, it can be assumed that the budget will be substantial. Assuming an average of 100 clients per month, the annual revenue would be $317,760. However, this is just a rough estimate and the actual budget may vary depending on several factors, including the number of clients, the provider's expenses, and the contract terms.
