The City of Salina is seeking a design‑build contractor to replace its existing scale house and associated entrance facilities at the municipal solid‑waste landfill. The contract covers demolition, new building construction, installation of two NTEP‑certified truck scales, earthwork, pavement, drainage, fencing, gates, a septic system, storm‑shelter, and related utility coordination, with required substantial completion by 20 Nov 2026 and final completion by 3 May 2027.
• Demolition of existing scale house and truck scale, with waste to be scaled and hauled to the landfill.
• Design‑build of a new 10‑ft‑high chain‑link fenced enclosure, two above‑grade truck scales, a 1,500‑gal septic system, and associated pavement, roadways, and storm‑water infrastructure.
• Full coordination of utility relocations, traffic control, security fencing, and compliance with ICC 500 and local landfill safety standards.
