Rural Health Transform Health Info Tech Advisory

The Minnesota Department of Health is seeking a vendor to provide technical advisory services related to rural health care providers' proposed health information technology (HIT) purchases. The vendor will review providers' proposed HIT and related equipment purchases and provide advice to MDH about providers' proposals. The scope of work includes reviewing applications and draft workplans, participating in meetings with MDH staff, and providing practical advice on the appropriateness of proposed investments. The vendor will also provide recommendations on how to monitor subgrantee spending and implementation efforts. • The vendor will review proposals from potential subgrantees and provide feedback on the HIT solution, costs, and deployment plan. • The vendor will participate in meetings with MDH staff to discuss proposed HIT purchases and workplans. • The vendor will provide practical advice on the appropriateness of proposed investments and the feasibility of HIT implementation and deployment plans. • The vendor will recommend information that MDH should request from potential subgrantees in a grant application or workplan related to HIT investments.
