Advanced Nuclear Project Developer - (RFQ) Request for Qualifications

NYPA is exclusively pursuing advanced large-scale reactors and NOAK small modular reactors employing Generation III+ or Generation IV technologies. The selected pathway must demonstrate a credible path to both produce 1+ GW of energy and start construction before 2033 to ensure Inflation Reduction Act Investment Tax Credit eligibility. First-of-a-kind (FOAK) and micro modular reactors (MMRs) are outside the scope of this effort. NYPA is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify a set of developers qualified to deliver across two possible technology pathways: a large-scale reactor (LSR), such as the AP1000, and/or a nth-of-a-kind (NOAK) small modular reactor (SMR), such as the BWRX-300. This is a two-step process and qualified firms will be invited to participate in a future Request for Proposal (RFP). Bidders must have commensurate experience. Bidders are hereby directed to make use of the New York Power Authority's website at www.nypa.gov in order to obtain instructions on participating in the bidding process through Ariba. Bidders obtaining bid documents from sources other than NYPA Ariba do so at their own risk. Further details on qualifications/requirements can be found in the Bid Documents. This contract may be fulfilled by a Sub Contract, Joint Venture or Co-Production arrangement.
