Conservation and Stabilization of the Plaster and Decorative Paint at the President’s Room Ceiling, United States Capitol Building

The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is seeking a contractor to conserve and stabilize the plaster and decorative paint at the President’s Room Ceiling, United States Capitol Building. The project involves the evaluation and treatment of the ceiling's plaster and decorative paint to ensure its preservation and stability. The contractor will be required to provide a comprehensive plan for the conservation and stabilization of the ceiling, including any necessary repairs or treatments. • The contractor must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide a proposal that offers the best value to the AOC. • The project will involve a non-mandatory site visit on April 7, and all questions must be submitted by April 8. • The proposal submission deadline is April 20. • The AOC will use the tradeoff process for source selection, as outlined in the AOC Contracting Manual. • The contractor will be required to provide a detailed plan for the conservation and stabilization of the ceiling, including any necessary repairs or treatments. • The contractor will be required to provide a comprehensive report on the project, including any findings, recommendations, and results.
