Intent to Sole Source - ERBE electrosurgical system

The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (NIH-CC) intends to negotiate with Proaim Americas, LLC for the purchase of an ERBE electrosurgical system. The system is used for gastroenterology surgery to minimize tissue damage and uses argon plasma coagulation to stop bleeding and destroy superficial tissue. • The system is used for cutting, coagulating, and ablating tissue with high precision using a high-frequency electrical current. • It will be used for gastroenterology surgery. • The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1.
