Capacity Building and Partnerships Services for Community Based Organizations

The San Mateo County Sustainability Department is seeking proposals for qualified vendors to build capacity and facilitate closer partnership between the Department and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs). The selected contractor will provide technical support to a network of ten or more CBOs contracted by the Department for community outreach and engagement services. The contractor will also provide consulting and training for Department staff and create a plan for deeper partnerships between the Sustainability Department and CBOs. Some key tasks include: • Providing technical assistance and trainings to CBOs to ensure timely invoicing and detailed responses to task orders • Consulting and training for Department staff to better understand community outreach and empowerment strategies • Developing a communications strategy and plan between the Department and CBOs to support mutual program goals • Facilitating meetings and coordination between the Department and CBOs to identify and inform existing and future projects and programs.
