Description
The City of Asheville is seeking a qualified organization to plan and produce the city’s official Juneteenth Celebration in 2027. The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of event production—including concept development, community engagement, logistics, talent coordination, permitting, marketing, and on‑the‑day execution—while honoring the historical significance of Juneteenth and reflecting local community priorities. This is an optional‑pre‑proposal‑meeting RFP with a submission deadline in mid‑September and an anticipated project start in late October 2026.
• Full event‑production services for Asheville’s 2027 Juneteenth celebration (planning, logistics, marketing, execution).
• Must align programming with community values and historical context.
• Submission through the City’s online procurement portal; optional virtual briefing on August 17, 2026.
