The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide hurricane hardening services at the Generator Farm located at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The project involves construction services to harden the generator farm against hurricanes. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all work is done in accordance with the specifications and requirements outlined in the solicitation. The project includes various divisions such as concrete, masonry, metals, wood, plastics and composites, thermal and moisture protection, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, and conveyance systems. The contractor will also be responsible for ensuring that all materials and equipment meet the required standards and codes. • The project requires the contractor to follow all applicable codes and standards, including the International Building Code and the International Plumbing Code. • The contractor must ensure that all materials and equipment are of high quality and meet the required specifications. • The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary submittals, including shop drawings and product data. • The contractor must ensure that all work is done in a safe and efficient manner, and that all necessary safety precautions are taken. • The contractor will be responsible for coordinating with other contractors and stakeholders to ensure that all work is done in a timely and efficient manner.
