The Space Propulsion Research and Innovation for Neutralizing Satellite Threats (SPRINT) program is an open Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) with calls, seeking innovative research proposals to improve the utility of spacecraft propulsion technology for resiliency applications. The program includes a broad range of technologies, degrees of development efforts, ground and/or space experiments, studies, and modeling and simulation activities. Topic areas of specific interest include chemical monopropellant thrusters, chemical bipropellant thrusters, electric propulsion thrusters, multi-mode thrusters, plume phenomenology, and mission utility of propulsion research concepts.
• The program anticipates awarding multiple contracts of varying duration and value, with individual awards ranging from $100K to $10M per contract.
• The program seeks to develop in-space propulsion technologies to improve spacecraft resiliency.
• Proposals should include a discussion of the nature and scope of the research, the offeror's proposed technical approach, and a rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost.
• The Government reserves the right to award some, all, or none of the proposals received in response to this BAA.
• Awards will be contingent upon successful negotiations and availability of funds.
