Description
The City of East St. Louis is seeking a qualified general contractor to fully renovate three commercial kitchen spaces and one freezer room at the East St. Louis Township facility (6755 State St.). The scope includes selective demolition, new finishes, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, ventilation, and installation of four grease interceptors (three interior, one exterior). The contractor must provide all labor, materials, permits, inspections, testing, cleanup, and close‑out documentation, and comply with the City’s Project Labor Agreement (Local 100) and a 30 % local labor requirement. Bids must be sealed, include required insurance and bonding, and be submitted by October 1, 2026. A mandatory pre‑bid meeting/site visit is scheduled for September 24, 2026. Preference will be given to MBEs/WBEs and Section 3 enterprises.
