Organics Grinding for Waste Resources

The County of Okaloosa, Florida is seeking a vendor to provide on-call grinding of yard waste at the Baker Landfill and Wright Landfill. The vendor will be responsible for mobilization, setup, grinding, and demobilization. The grinding events should be completed within 30 days of commencement, and the vendor will be paid based on loose in-bound tonnage recorded in the County's Waste Works accounting system. The scope of work includes grinding of yard waste that passes through a six-inch screen, including trees and palm fronds. The vendor will also be responsible for pushing loose material to the grinder, feeding/loading the grinder, grinding, and measuring the pile. • Key responsibilities include: • Mobilization • Pushing loose material to the grinder • Feeding/loading the grinder • Grinding • Measuring the pile • Invoicing • Demobilization The County estimates that approximately 85% of the yard waste will be processed at the Wright Landfill and 15% at the Baker Landfill.
