Description
The Burke County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for the procurement of fiber optic materials, including fiber optic cable and handholes, for the county's Fiber-To-The-Premise (FTTP) broadband network expansion. The project aims to provide 100/10 Gbps broadband access to all unserved and underserved locations in Burke County. The successful bidder will be required to provide pricing for all listed fiber counts and handholes, as well as comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• The project includes the installation of fiber optic cable and handholes in various locations throughout the county.
• The fiber optic cable must meet specific technical requirements, including transmission performance and mechanical construction.
• The handholes must meet specific technical requirements, including load rating and material certification.
• The successful bidder will be required to provide a completed pricing table, BABA manufacture certification letters, and other documentation.
• The project will be delivered in three phases, with delivery dates in January 2027, July 2027, and January 2028.
