Description

The National Human Genome Research Institute, Division of Intramural Research (NHGRI) is seeking to develop and validate a Transferrin Receptor. The proposed contractor is Creative Biolabs, and the justification for sole source is that they are the only known responsible source capable of providing the required services that meet NHGRI compatibility and continuity requirements. The company will transfer all resulting intellectual property and associated materials to the NIH under a Materials Transfer Agreement (MTA). • The requirement is for a customized humanized antibody library screening service that meets specific technical requirements. • Creative Biolabs possesses the specialized expertise, proprietary capabilities, and experience necessary to perform this customized screening. • The NIH will retain ownership of the resulting technology and pursue commercialization following successful preclinical development, clinical trials, and any required regulatory approvals. • Small businesses may submit a written capability statement demonstrating their ability to perform the requirement.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this contract is not explicitly stated in the document. However, considering the complexity and specialization of the required services, the budget is likely to be substantial. A rough estimate for the budget could be in the range of $500,000 to $2 million, taking into account the costs associated with research and development in biotechnology, the transfer of intellectual property, and the potential for commercialization. The actual budget may vary depending on the specifics of the contract and the negotiations between the parties involved.
