Ann Street Improvements

The City of Ann Arbor is seeking a qualified contractor to perform a comprehensive streetscape and utility upgrade along Ann Street between First Street and Fifth Avenue. The work includes installation of new water‑main and storm‑sewer infrastructure, full‑depth road reconstruction, curb and sidewalk replacement, installation of street lighting, landscaping, irrigation, parking‑meter removal/installation, and associated traffic‑control detours. The contract is divided into three phases with hard substantial‑completion dates and liquidated‑damage penalties for delay. • Install ~1,800 ft of PC‑350‑DIP water main, associated valves, hydrants, and abandon existing mains. • Install ~1,000 ft of Class IV reinforced‑concrete storm‑sewer pipe, manholes, inlets, and a 500‑ft infiltration trench. • Reconstruct ~7,000 sq yd of roadway, replace curbs, sidewalks, and install 2,900 sf of brick pavers, 15 new streetlights, benches, bike hoops, tree grates, irrigation system, and landscaping with a one‑year warranty.
