Dupont Wappoo Watershed Improvements Plan

The City of Charleston is seeking a qualified engineering firm to deliver professional engineering services for Phase One of the Dupont Wappoo Watershed Improvements Project. The scope includes developing and evaluating flood‑mitigation measures across a 1,600‑acre drainage basin in West Ashley, coordinating with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and producing design deliverables that will form the basis for subsequent construction phases. This effort will involve hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, conceptual and detailed design of structural improvements, environmental compliance, and preparation of technical reports. • Design and evaluate flood‑mitigation strategies for a large urban watershed (≈1,600 acres) • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and develop engineering drawings/specifications • Coordinate with USACE and provide technical documentation for Phase One deliverables • Deliver reports, design packages, and recommendations to support future construction phases • Must submit a resume package by the stated deadline to be considered for award.
