Continuous Wave (CW) Lasers

The Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program (AFMETCAL) is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing two Continuous Wave (CW) Lasers for use at the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory (AFPSL) located in Heath, Ohio. The lasers must meet specific performance requirements, including wavelength, output power, polarization, operational stability, and beam quality. The intended use of the lasers is to serve as primary optical power sources to support the calibration and verification of high-accuracy power meters at the AFPSL. Interested vendors should provide technical documentation, product datasheets, estimated delivery timelines, rough order of magnitude pricing, and company information. • The lasers must have a wavelength of 1064 nm • The output power must be adjustable, 1–20 W continuous wave • The polarization must be vertically polarized output • The operational stability must be suitable for use as a calibration standard in a metrology laboratory environment • The beam quality must be sufficient for accurate and repeatable optical power measurements
