Request for Proposals for Park Security Services

The City of Malibu is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive park security services at Malibu Bluffs Park and Legacy Park. The ideal contractor will provide two armed guards and one patrol vehicle to enhance public safety. The contractor will be required to work collaboratively with City Departments and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to ensure public safety during the hours of operation. The contract will be for a two-year period. Key responsibilities include: • Providing two armed guards to patrol the parks seven days a week for eight or twelve hours at a time • Ensuring compliance with the Malibu Municipal Code and reporting illegal activity to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department • Establishing incident documentation and reporting procedures to alert City staff of illegal activity • Responding promptly to calls and other communications from City staff and contractors • Participating in community meetings and conducting check-ins with the City's Community Services and Public Safety Departments
