The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is seeking a Tunable Laser Multi-Photon Microscope for shared use and collaborations on multiple protocols and projects. The microscope must have a wide tuning range, dual output, and integrated dispersion compensation. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the best value to the Government, considering factors such as price, technical capability, past performance, and delivery schedule.
• The microscope must meet specific minimum characteristics, including a gap-free light source with a 680-1300 nm tuning range and optimized performance in the 900-1100 nm range.
• The microscope must have a dual output with a fixed 1045 nm dual beam option to support diverse needs of multimodal imaging.
• The microscope must have an average power of >1.4W (700nm), >2.1W (800nm), >2.6W (900nm), >2.2W (1000nm), >2.0W (1100nm), >1.7W (1200nm), and >1.2W (1300nm).
• The microscope must have a pulse width of <120fs and a precompensation dispersion range of 680nm (0 fs2 to -25,000 fs2), 800nm (0 fs2 to -17,000 fs2), 900nm (0 fs2 to -12,000 fs2), 1050nm (0 fs2 to -5,500 fs2), and 1300nm (0 fs2 to -4,500 fs2).
