Description
The US Air Force is seeking sources for a project to provide approximately 16,410 tons of Graded Crushed Aggregate Base Course (GCA) for the Avon Park location. The contractor will be responsible for providing all plant, labor, material, design, and supervision to deliver the GCA. The GCA must conform to the Uniform Guide Specifications (UFGS) 32.11.23 and the equivalent American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (ASSHTO) #57. Interested contractors are encouraged to submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in projects of similar nature, along with other required information.
• The contractor must provide all necessary materials and labor to complete the project.
• The GCA must meet specific material specifications, including gradation, liquid limit, and plasticity index.
• The contractor must ensure that the GCA is free of silt and clay.
• The contractor must comply with the tolerance present in Table 2 of the specification.
