Youth Mental Health Day Treatment

The Dane County Department of Human Services is seeking a provider to deliver comprehensive, structured mental health day treatment services to youth with complex behavioral health needs. The program aims to reduce the risk of out-of-home placement by stabilizing mental health needs, supporting caregivers, and coordinating with school personnel and social workers. The selected provider will be expected to provide services to youth aged 11-14, with the option to serve other age ranges. The program will operate during typical school hours, with some summer programming, and will be located in Dane County. The provider will be required to track and report progress on performance indicators, including improvement in symptom severity, caregiver confidence, and youth behavior. Key aspects of the program include: • Providing comprehensive, structured mental health day treatment services to youth with complex behavioral health needs • Reducing the risk of out-of-home placement by stabilizing mental health needs and supporting caregivers • Coordinating with school personnel and social workers to support successful integration into full-day school programming • Tracking and reporting progress on performance indicators, including improvement in symptom severity, caregiver confidence, and youth behavior • Maintaining a written policy for terminating services prior to successful completion of the program • Providing regular updates to social workers and maintaining communication with caregivers The provider will be expected to have experience delivering mental health day treatment to youth with complex behavioral health needs, and will be required to maintain certification under Wis. Admin. Code DHS 40. The provider will also be expected to have a staffing model in place, including proposed staffing roles, minimum qualifications, and organizational structure.
