Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to upgrade the Pharmacy IV Mixing Rooms at the Lee County VA Clinic in Cape Coral, FL, to achieve compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards for sterile and hazardous drug compounding environments. The project includes construction, mechanical, electrical, and architectural upgrades. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, tools, and materials necessary for the project, which is expected to take 270 days to complete. The project requires attention to safety, infection control, security, and minimal operational disruption.
• The project involves upgrading Rooms 1B164, 1B165, and 1B166 to meet USP-compliant operation standards.
• The contractor must comply with VA design manuals, project drawings, and specifications.
• The contractor must obtain proper identification badges and comply with VA security procedures.
• The project requires coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for site visits, access, and utility shutdowns.
• The contractor must provide a detailed schedule, including milestones and major portions of the contract work.
• The contractor must submit a Testing and Commissioning Plan and conduct final testing in the presence of the COR.
