The Rhode Island Department of Corrections is establishing a continuous‑recruitment, on‑site health‑care professional vendor list to supply physicians, advanced‑practice providers, and radiology services to its correctional facilities. Vendors submit a rate schedule and scope of work; awards place the vendor on a qualified‑vendor list, allowing the state to call on them as needed through February 2027. No guaranteed minimum volume, and pricing must remain fixed for the contract term.
• Covers virtually every major medical specialty (primary care, surgical, subspecialty, hospice, etc.) plus on‑site radiology.
• Services are on‑demand, scheduled by RIDOC medical leadership; vendors must be able to respond quickly and provide 24‑48‑hour radiology reports.
• Mandatory compliance requirements include background checks, badge scanning, PREA, HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2, malpractice insurance, and orientation (cost capped at $1,000 per employee).
• Vendors submit detailed rate schedules for each of the three contract years; the contract runs from approx. 13 Feb 2024 to 28 Feb 2027.
