Specialty Infusion Services for Health Plan Participants

Lubbock Independent School District is seeking a Specialty Infusion Service Company to provide cost-effective specialty medication infusion services for plan participants under the supervision of licensed physicians and registered nurses. The contract award will be on a mutually agreed upon, per occurrence fee basis and paid directly to the selected company in the performance of their services on behalf of the plan members of the district. The scope of work includes: • Home and Alternate Site Delivery: administering high-cost specialty pharmaceuticals in the patient’s home, an ambulatory infusion center, or a physician office • Clinical Care Plans & Coordination: establishing, monitoring, and reporting individualized care plans in coordination with the participant’s prescribing physician • Provider Qualifications & Network Standards: maintaining necessary state licenses and current national accreditations for specialty pharmacy and home infusion • Financial & Pricing Transparency: providing clear, guaranteed pricing and transparent pass-through regarding manufacturer discounts, rebates, and wholesale acquisition costs • Patient Experience & Communication: ensuring patients are not subjected to surprise billing and providing dedicated patient advocates to explain out-of-pocket costs and financial assistance programs • Performance Guarantees & Reporting: tracking and reporting quarterly metrics, including time-to-first-dose, adverse drug event rates, and patient satisfaction scores
