The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Demolish Knowles Hall South, East, and West project at the State University College at Potsdam.
Knowles Hall, constructed in 1966, is a 165,900 GSF, three- to six-story facility compromised of five distinct buildings: North, South, East, West, and the Conference Center. Since 2023, Knowles South, East, and West, totaling approximately 125,400 GSF, have been decommissioned and are no longer in use, while Knowles North and the Conference Center remain operational and serve campus functions. The project will demolish the Knowles South, East, and West buildings, and restore the site.
The project will demolish approximately 125,400 GSF of existing space, and restore the site for greenspace or future use. The project will terminate utilities including water, sewer, steam, electrical, communications, fire alarm, and gas services, with specific disconnections required for utilities serving the remaining Knowles Conference Center and North buildings.
The construction value is estimated to be approximately $9,386,000.
