Regulated Medical Waste Collection & Disposal

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University is seeking a vendor to provide regulated medical waste collection and disposal services. This contract will replace a previously issued solicitation that was closed in error and includes all addenda and the original RFP. The vendor must handle hazardous medical waste in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, provide secure transport, and ensure proper disposal at licensed facilities. • Collect, transport, and dispose of regulated medical waste from campus facilities. • Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Virginia Department of Health regulations. • Provide documentation, tracking, and reporting of waste streams. • Supply appropriate containers, labeling, and emergency response procedures. • Offer responsive service with on‑call availability for emergency pickups.
