Request for Qualifications - MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex Expansion - Limited Scope Re-Bid

The City of West Des Moines is seeking qualified subcontractors for the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex Ice Rink Addition project. The project involves the construction of a new addition to the existing RecPlex facility, including a commercial kitchen, luxury suites, locker rooms, and an ice rink. The project is expected to start in March 2026 and be completed by June 2027. Subcontractors must submit a Statement of Qualifications to be considered for the project. The Statement of Qualifications should include company legal information, work-type experience, safety record, bonding and insurance capacity, workforce availability, and references. • The project includes a new addition with approximately 66,300SF footprint + +/- 45,100SF 2nd Floor (Total of 111,400SF of space). • The addition includes commercial kitchen space, approximately 2,500 fixed seats, 4 luxury suites, locker rooms, open entry atrium, emergency stair wells, elevator, MEFP systems, and connection to the existing building. • Sitework includes site clearing, concrete removal, utility relocation and extension, new parking, site lighting, and landscaping. • The project also includes soil remediation with aggregate piers, ice rink and related systems and equipment, and audio and visual systems.
